Anyone who has ever shopped at Aldi knows that beyond the great products and shockingly low prices, the store has an aisle that’s truly magical. The Aldi Finds aisle.
Every monthAldi releases dozens of new food and home products that are available for a limited time while supplies last. Sometimes, it’s a brand-new product that you’ve never seen before—hello, Sundae Shoppe Tiny Cones. While other times it’s a returning item that you know to stock up on immediately because you’re not sure when you’ll see it again—like July’s frozen Stuffed Gnocchi.
Aldi’s Stuffed Gnocchi Deserves a Spot in Your Freezer
Aldi
Aldi’s Priano Stuffed Gnocchi hit the freezer section last October and immediately made a splash as fans’—including mine—new Favorite Aldi Pasta.
Customers were blown away by the Stuffed Gnocchi addition, which was available in an Alfredo and Tomato Basil variety. And it showed because the frozen product sold out quickly. Now, as of July 16, both the Stuffed Gnocchi varieties are back on Aldi’s shelves.
The frozen product features authentic Potato gnocchi stuffed with either a creamy Alfredo sauce or a bold basil-flavored tomato sauce. And the cooking method couldn’t be easier—you just heat them in a skillet with butter or oil until the filling is warm and the gnocchi dumplings are slightly crispy.
I sautéed them in butter for extra flavor, and because they’re filled with sauce, I didn’t even need to add more topping to the gnocchi. I just served as-is for a delicious comfort food meal that was ready in less than 10 minutes.
As with so many of my favorite Aldi productsthe Stuffed Gnocchi is less than $5—ringing in at $3.49 per 16-ounce bag.
Last year, I had trouble finding the Alfredo Stuffed Gnocchi, which seemed to be the fan-favorite. Fans called them “amazing” and said they “were so good [that] I wish they were there permanently.” Sadly, Aldi’s Stuffed Gnocchi hasn’t been upgraded to everyday—or even seasonal—product status. But, the store didn’t discontinue them after one time on shelves, and that’s a win for me.
