The trailer for Imran Ashraf’s debut Punjabi film Enna Nu Rehna Sehna N Ainda has officially been released, sparking excitement among fans across borders.

The Pakistani star is set to play an illegal immigrant in Canada, with the story blending comedy, action and heartfelt moments.

Alongside him, Jassie Gill takes the parallel lead, marking another India-Pakistan Punjabi collaboration.

The plot appears to revolve around the struggles of young international students as they navigate life abroad.

While the trailer keeps many details under wraps, its glimpses of humour, conflict and emotion have already struck a chord with audiences.

Fans flooded social media with reactions.

One wrote: “Best wishes to Imran Ashraf.”

Another commented: “Imran Ashraf rocked the scenes.”

A third praised the duo, saying: “It is great to see Imran Ashraf and Jassie Gill. Best wishes.”

Adding to the buzz, the film’s first track, ‘All Good’, recently dropped.

Sung by lead actor Ranjit Bawa, the upbeat number is already being called the “party anthem of the year”.

The video, shared by Imran on Instagram, shows a colourful celebration in a lively party setting.

However, the film’s release journey has been anything but smooth.

Originally planned for May 2025, it was postponed due to undisclosed reasons, though speculation pointed to political tensions between India and Pakistan.

Now, the movie is set for a global release, including Pakistan, on August 22, 2025.

Directed by Rupen Bal, the film boasts a diverse cast.

It features Ranjit Bawa, Mandy Takhar, Nirmal Rishi and Nasir Chinyoti.

This cross-border collaboration follows closely on the heels of Sardaar ji 3Starring Hania Aamir and Diljit Dosanjh.

It became a global hit despite facing backlash in India over the inclusion of Pakistani talent.

Released internationally and in Pakistan, Sardaar ji 3 climbed the charts as one of the most successful Punjabi films outside India.

Political sensitivities have also stalled other projects, such as Fawad Khan’s Abir gulaalwhich was indefinitely delayed.

However, Enna Nu Rehna Sehna N Ainda has so far avoided controversy, possibly because much of its cast and crew are Indo-Canadian.

The trailer and the song have built strong anticipation, with many eager to see Imran Ashraf step into a new cinematic territory.

The combination of heartfelt storytelling, cultural fusion and energetic music may just make this one of the year’s standout Punjabi films.
