As much as it pains us to admit, the seal on summer has officially been broken—if not by the temperatures, then certainly by the grocery store shelves. Hershey’s kicked things off with the first pumpkin spice latte product of the season, Pillsbury rolled out two new flaky bakes made for brisk mornings, and rumors on social media are swirling that the pumpkin spice creamers from Coffee mate and International Delight will be back on shelves any day now.
But one brand is skipping right past August and September and heading straight for October 31 with a limited-edition coffee creamer inspired by one of Halloween’s most iconic (and divisive) candies.
Nutpods Launches New Candy Corn Creamer
Just when you thought every coffee creamer flavor imaginable had been done—from Pistachio to Peanut Butter & Jelly—Nutpods has arrived with what might be its most controversial release yet: Candy Corn.
Love it or loathe it, chances are that announcement just triggered some kind of emotional reaction. Maybe it was one like the critics on Instagram who called it “nasty” and “diabolical.” Or maybe you’re more like this fan: “I’M SCREAMING NO WAY THIS IS A DREAM FOR ME!!”
It’s safe to say this creamer is already stirring up conversation. And, of course, it’s reigniting the age-old debate that rolls around every fall (only now it’s coming for us in July): Is candy corn actually good?
Some can’t stand the tricolored kernels, whether it’s the waxy texture or overwhelming sweetness. But when you think about it, a candy corn coffee creamer… kind of makes sense. The candy is essentially just sugar, maybe with a touch of honey. If you already take sugar in your coffee, can you really complain? Compared to some of the wild creamer flavors we’ve seen over the years—Orange Cream Pop and Bagel & Cream Cheese—this could be considered one of the least offensive.
Nutpods’ limited-edition carton delivers a creamy dose of candy corn flavor to your morning brew, made with almond milk, coconut milk, and cane sugar. And for some fans, this isn’t even a new idea—it’s validation.
“As a LOVER of candy corn, who melted them to make syrup for my coffee… I WILL NEED THIS,” one fan wrote.
Shoppers on TikTok have already been spotted the new creamer at Walmart. Still, even avid Halloween candy fans are begging brands to pump the brakes on fall. “I love candy corn. I really do. But please wait a couple months,” one fan pleaded. Another put it bluntly: “I won’t buy it till late September at [the] soonest. These companies have gone full delulu.”
That’s a sentiment we can all get behind. Until the calendar says it’s time, we’ll be sticking with our summer coffee favorites—whether that means a Dunkin’ frozen drink inspired by ice creama Starbucks Iced Horchata Oatmilk Shaken Espressoor one of Dutch Bros’ mocktail-inspired sippers.
See you in September, candy corn coffee.
