I finally tried the chocolate cookies from Jamie Oliver’s airfryer! In his new Airfryer cookbook, he presents her as a whoopia Pies, that’s what is called in America Soft double biscuits with filling. I find the chocolate cookies perfect without filling. They taste like chocolate -like bruokies that caused a sensation in the food blogger world. Brookies are a delicious combination of chocolate, soft brownies and crispy chocolate chip cookies and the cookies from Jamie Oliver also taste good. I think the idea of freezing the dough and spontaneously baking fresh chocolate cookies at all times. So as always: Try it out is the motto!
Chocolate cookies or chocolate cookies from Jamie?!
Actually, I would write chocolate cookies according to German spelling, but nobody is looking for that: You are looking for chocolate cookies so I write it like that! No matter how you write them, they taste great and are made really quickly. You don’t even need a food processor, but an airfryer is helpful, even if it also works with the oven. But especially if you only want to bake a few fresh cookies, the Airfryer is faster and more energy -saving. You can of course also melt the butter for the chocolate cookies directly in the Airfryer – how practical! I would have loved to bake it in a vegan form for my colleague, but I had no vegan butter and the eggs would also have to be replaced. Otherwise you need the classic ingredients: flour, butter, eggs, soda and baking powder and a few chocolate drops. Fortunately, I had everything in the house and was able to meet my spontaneous backlust!
This is how the chocolate cookies become?
Jamie Oliver refines the chocolate cookies and makes them mint-chocolate-white pies, the recipe can be found in his current cookbook “Easy Air Fryer*“. For this purpose, two chocolate cookies with a cream made of air chocolate with peppermint taste (145 g) and cream cheese (170g) are filled. The chocolate (120 g of it) is also melted in the airfry at 170 degrees for 3 minutes and then you can lift the cream cheese and put the cream in the fridge for an hour so that it is strengthened (15 g) If you hack, then spread a cooled chocolate cookie with the cream, sprinkle it with the chopped chocolate and give a second one: the whoopia pie is ready!
Sounds great, let’s see if I can buy such a chocolate somewhere, then I’ll try it out. 6 cookies are still waiting for their use in the Froster.
By the way, not only when it is hot, the chocolate cookies also taste great with an ice cream filling. To do this, simply get a (cardboard) cup of ice cream and cut it into slices. Then you pack the slices between two chocolate cookies and voilà the ultamative pleasure!

Always fresh chocolate cookies or whoopia pies!
With this recipe you always have freshly baked chocolate cookies ready. You can keep them in the fridge for 2 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months and then bake fresh every day. Jamie forms 16 balls from the dough with damp hands. I used an ice creamner for shaping, so my hands remain nice and clean, the cookies were a bit larger and there were only 12 pieces, but next time I could use a little less dough, then I get to 16. So a cookies are enough, my son tasted so good that he tasted two. Of course I was very happy! When baking, you should adjust the time accordingly, if you have cooled cookies you need 12 minutes, bake them directly from the freezer/closet, the delicious particles need 15 minutes. The information on the baking temperature was perfectly suitable for my Airfryer from Cosori, I have a baking program. It is best to see how it is with your Airfryer, as with the oven, the temperature can deviate a little even with different airfryers. In any case, they are incredibly tasty, soft and fudgy on the inside, deliciously crispy on the outside!
