YARKHUN: A flash flood hit the village of Dewser in Yarkhun valley, Upper Chitral, on Saturday, causing extensive damage to farmland and crops.
According to local sources, large portions of land belonging to Amir Dullah Khan and other residents were washed away, destroying standing crops and fruit trees.
The incident has left the farmers facing severe financial losses ahead of the harvest season.
Local residents have appealed to the Upper Chitral district administration to carry out an official survey of the damages and ensure compensation for the affected farmers.
