  • Best-by dates on affected products range from August 30 through September 3, 2025.
  • Dispose or return impacted snacks as eating recalled Ding Dongs may cause mycotoxins exposure.

There’s an active recall on a popular Hostess product sold in the U.S., according to a company announcement. This is due to the possible presence of mold.

The products being recalled are Hostess Chocolate Ding Dongs sold in 2-, 10- and 16-count packages. While it is unclear what retail locations and states that these snacks were sold in, the affected products contain a printed UPC of 8-88109-01002,  8-88109-11061 or 8-88109-11092 and best-by dates ranging from August 30 through September 3, 2025.

If you have Hostess Ding Dongs on hand and it has one of the matching recalled codes on its packaging, dispose of it immediately or return to your place of purchase for a refund. Consuming mold can lead to illness due to the formation of mycotoxins, which are poisonous. If you are showing symptoms of foodborne illness like nausea, vomiting, stomach cramps and diarrhea after eating the affected Hostess product, contact a healthcare professional immediately.
