Shevla, a wild vegetable, is available only during the first few days of the monsoon season. Kakda is the fruit of wild yam which is generally sold with shevla as it helps in reducing itching of shevla.

Ingredients
- Dragon stalk yam (shevla) as required
- Fruits of wild yam (kakda) as required
Method
- Peel the outer layer of shevla and trim the bottom as it can cause itching.
- Now you can either chop or slice as required for any recipe.
- Bring sufficient water to a boil. Add the kakda in them and boil for 10-15 minutes and drain.
- Press or cut each boiled kakda and discard the seeds.
