If there’s anything worse than an empty kitchen, it’s a messy one. Fortunately, there are a ton of ways to keep things organized and tidy. Maybe you need chef-approved tips on getting your fridge under control, or are wondering how to stack your food containers so they don’t topple over (again!). Either way, it’s always helpful to have some tricks up your sleeve to ensure your space is accessible and aesthetically pleasing.

One of the easiest ways to help with kitchen organizing is investing in practical storage options. From trusty plastic containers to stylish glass jars, there are endless tools to get your pantry in check. We’ve already fallen for Aldi’s affordable flour storage bins. And you can never go wrong with name brands like Tupperware, which has been around for ages. But let’s not count Ikea out. The Swedish retailer always seems to come through with stylish and clever bits and bobs. Though this time around, instead of the usual sleek, minimalist options we’ve come to expect from Ikea, its new lineup gives off strong grandma vibes.

Ikea Is Launching a New Line of Vintage-Inspired Kitchen Storage Containers

We all know and love Ikea’s affordable furniture (and delicious Swedish Meatballs), but its latest addition is helping shoppers channel their inner grandmother. The Kössebär collection leans into the popular coastal grandma style that’s taken over the internet as of late. It also features several affordable items that are perfect for meal prepping.

Let’s start with the containers, arguably the most exciting part of this drop. The Kössebär line features three jars, two of which are a meal prepper’s dream come true. The clear jars have a stunning ridged design that puts a timeless spin on vintage glassware. Plus, the lids are hinged, so you won’t have to fret over misplacing them over time. We can definitely see these being a great choice for making overnight oats or homemade pickles.

The third storage container joining the collection has a slightly different vibe, since it swaps the ridged pattern for a rich brown color. Instead of the attached lid, you’ll find a removable one and a matching spoon that’s both aesthetically pleasing and practical. It seems perfect for storing pantry essentials like salt and sugar, since you can easily get a scoop whenever you need. The exact dimensions of the glassware aren’t yet available, but the clear jars will cost $4.99 each, while the brown option is $9.99. With the affordable prices and endless uses, these storage containers are a deal worth considering, especially if you are a fan of the popular vintage aesthetic.

Aside from storage containers, the Kössebär collection has a few other items that will make Grandma jealous, including an apron with a retro gingham pattern. You’ll also find a set of matching dish towels, which retail for $5.99 for a pack of two. And if you’re interested in a more attractive alternative for your Ziploc bags, look for the resealable bags, which have three vintage-inspired patterns, along with matching labels.

The Kössebär line is now available at your local Ikea and can also be found online. We hate to say it, but Grandma’s vintage storage containers may continue collecting dust, thanks to these stylish new picks.
