Halloween is already a nostalgia-fueled holiday—bringing you back to the days of trick-or-treating, crafting last-minute costumes, and piling on the couch to watch classic movies. But this season, Hershey’s is tugging at the heartstrings even more.

As part of its big “Hersheyween” rollout, the brand just dropped several new and returning seasonal favorites, from Kit Kat Counts and Pumpkin Spice Latte Nuggets to Twizzlers Ghosts. And of course, the beloved Reese’s Pumpkins are back. This chocolate and peanut butter icon has been around for more than three decades, so if you were a ’90s kid, you probably consider it a comfort candy of the season.

But this year, the Reese’s Pumpkin is getting a charming twist tailor-made for millennials—or anyone who’s ever spent a fall night waiting for the Great Pumpkin.

Reese’s Unveils Peanuts-Themed Pumpkins

If you see something magical rising out of the pumpkin patch this year, you’re not imagining it. Reese’s has partnered with Peanuts for a limited-edition “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown”–themed release. As it turns out, the Great Pumpkin is real—and it’s coming to a candy bag near you.

Like most Reese’s shapes, the Pumpkins have their own devoted fan base thanks to a slightly different chocolate-to-peanut butter ratio than the traditional cups. The same creamy peanut butter filling and smooth milk chocolate shell you know and love are still there—just in that shape that fans insist tastes even better. “I swear the pumpkin ones taste THE best!” one fan shared on Instagram.

But this year, the real treat is on the outside. The wrappers feature six different scenes from the beloved Halloween special: Lucy bobbing for apples, Snoopy as the daring WWI Flying Ace, and Charlie Brown receiving that infamous rock. Each design is pure nostalgic gold, and fans are feeling it.

“No way, I would love to have just one of these,” one person raved in all caps. “This makes my heart so happy,” added another.

So far, the limited-edition Peanuts Pumpkins have been spotted at CVS, but we expect they’ll appear at more major retailers soon. Each nine-ounce bag comes filled with individually-wrapped candies—perfect for dropping into trick-or-treat baskets, filling a candy dish, or snacking on while you rewatch the classic Peanuts episode.

This year, you can skip the search for “the most sincere pumpkin patch” to catch a glimpse of the Great Pumpkin—it’s waiting for you in the candy aisle. But these treats are sure to disappear quickly, so grab a bag or two before, like Linus, you’re “robbed” of your chance to see the greatness for yourself.
