Ingredients
- 4-5 leftover rotis
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 3-4 green chillies, chopped
- 1½ tablespoons finely chopped garlic
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- Salt to taste
- 1½ teaspoons red chilli powder
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
- Fresh coriander sprig for garnish
Method
- Break the rotis into small pieces and put into a large bowl.
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add green chillies and garlic, mix well and saute till golden brown.
- Add onions, mix well and saute till translucent. Add salt, mix well and saute for 1-2 minutes.
- Add red chilli powder and coriander powder, mix well and saute for 1 minute. Add cumin powder, mix and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add the roti pieces and mix well. Add buttermilk and sugar, mix and cook till the mixture comes to a boil. Cover and cook for 3-4 minutes.
- Add coriander leaves and mix.
- Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot garnished with coriander sprig.
