When it comes to grocery store bakeries, fans are always raving about the baked goods from Costco or Sam’s Club. In my opinion, Aldi is a severely underrated spot for all sorts of delicious treats and desserts. From its wonderfully soft brioche loaf with chocolate chips to the pillowy paczki doughnuts, there are always plenty of tasty sweet snacks at Aldi to choose from.

And now, one of its most popular treats is back on shelves and fans are “overjoyed.”

Aldi’s Fluffernutter Cookies Return to Shelves

If you’re like me and have absolutely no idea what a fluffernutter is, you’d be surprised to learn that it’s quite a common childhood favorite for many in New England. Originally from Massachusetts, fluffernutters are a sandwich made with marshmallow fluff and peanut butter. Think of it as a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, except instead of jam, you have fluffy, sweet marshmallow crème.

Aldi’s fan-favorite treat takes all the components of a fluffernutter and stuffs them into a cookie. The peanut butter cookies are packed with mini marshmallows and peanut butter marshmallow cups for a delicious combination that takes some of us right back to our childhoods. Each box contains six cookies that are ridiculously soft and chewy.

“They’re amazing. My favorite cookie Aldi has ever made,” a fan raved on Reddit. “They don’t last the day in our house. I’ve gotten them the past two weeks and they are gone within 24 hours,” added another fan.

The Specially Selected Fluffernutter Cookies are returning as an Aldi Find for the week of Sept. 3. Whether you’re interested in giving these a try or you’re a lifelong fluffernutter lover, you’ll have to act quickly because, according to one shopper, these “sell out every time they hit the floor.”
