As summer comes to a close, so many of us are eagerly anticipating the start of fall. We’ve already seen a slew of tasty seasonal items from companies like Häagen-Dazs, Trader Joe’s, and Starbucks. Cooler weather is just around the corner, making it the perfect time to cozy up with a hot drink. From soothing teas to flavorful coffees, a warm beverage can make all the difference when it comes to embracing the changing seasons.
Personally, my family loves making hot cocoa as soon as the temperature drops below sixty degrees. Half of us are die-hard Swiss Miss fans, while the other half prefers making the chocolaty beverage from scratch. It’s a debate we’ve had for as long as I can remember, but this year, there are two new products that might change the entire competition.
M&M’s and Snickers Release New Instant Hot Cocoa Sticks
Allrecipes / Snickers
If you’ve ever wished you could drink your favorite candy, you’re in luck. There are two new hot chocolate mixes available this fall—and it’s not your average cocoa with marshmallows. The mixes are inspired by popular candies, M&M’s and Snickers, bringing a flavorful spin to a timeless beverage.
First up, the new M&M’s Milk Chocolate Hot Cocoa Single Serve Sticks takes the iconic colorful candy and serves it up in a mug. The sweet beverage is perfect for fans of milk chocolate, offering a sweeter, candy-like flavor. Meanwhile, the Snickers-Inspired Hot Cocoa Sticks feature the classic flavors of milk chocolate, caramel, peanuts, and nougat. But instead of a bite-sized candy bar, you’ll find a creamy, richly-flavored hot cocoa.
Both flavors come in individual sticks containing a single serving of cocoa. Convenience is key, as you simply need to mix the contents with hot water or milk and stir for a warm and indulgent beverage. You can also use them in your favorite recipes that call for hot chocolate mix, like our two-ingredient dessert dip or cocoa-inspired truffles.
A single box has six sticks and retails for about $7.95. You can find both flavors on Amazon or Walmart. I’ll certainly be picking up a box of each to switch things up when it comes to our hot chocolate traditions this year.
