We do not know how many Turkish snacks and restaurants are in Berlin. But especially in the districts such as Wedding and Neukölln, where the first guest workers lived at the time, the Turkish culture can be felt the most. But actually there is Turkish snacks for Kebab, Dürüm, Baklava, Bread and Co. In the meantime, the Doner Kebab is probably also a synonym for Berlin’s snack dishes. Kebab is actually popular at any time of the day. A variety of shops prove that Turkish cuisine has more to offer. We introduce you to a few of our loved ones. The only small drawback so far: Most Turkish dishes are not necessarily vegetarian or vegan, even if you find it certainly with the mezze.
Sample lahmacun

If you like to get along without a kebab, but still feel like a snack, you are perfectly lifted at örnek. There are two branches. The one in Wedding is quite small and has less choice, but of course it is just as good as the larger Neukölln branch. At lunchtime there was a lot of operation here and with a homemade Turkish pizza – Lahmacun – This is no wonder for 1.50 euros with salad. In Neukölln you can sit more relaxed and longer. Soups are also served here. The special thing is really all “except the cola and Fanta” itself, as we were told. You taste that. Our recommendation: Lahmacun, who would have thought it and also the classic Adana skewer in bread. Both are not vegetarian and overall there are few alternatives on the menu, but flexitarians are happy. The Ayran could be a little salet, but is the perfect rounding for a Turkish evening.

Maide manti

We discovered the Maide Manti by chance. It was mentioned in a search for the best manti in Berlin and since we were not far from it, we passed. There are just two seats here, maybe more outside in summer. At Maide Manti the Turkish Manti Made yourself and sold as a lunch dish or frozen for at home. Plus a lot of homemade Turkish pastries and super nice service. However, the manti are filled with meat and therefore not for vegetarians. The portion is large and is easy to share. The wine leaves also tasted particularly good. And if you take a closer look in the Turkish supermarket like Eurogida, you will also be able to discover Maide’s Manti in the freezer. So you don’t have to go into the wedding.

Licorice

We have also been in Meyan many times. The Meyan is a good address for Turkish mezze and other smaller dishes. By the way, Manti also exists here. Thanks to the interior, Turkish flair also comes up directly when entering the Schöneberg restaurant. In the display you can see all the mezze. But you shouldn’t be late, as many things are sold out quickly. And reservations would actually be better because it is popular in the neighborhood. It is particularly nice to sit outside on the summer evening and to have the feeling of vacation.

FES – Turkish BBQ

Okay that Fes – Turkish BBQ we have mentioned several times. But it just fits again and again. Here is as the name says Turkish Barbecue. To grill yourself on actually Korean table grills. To do this, become Mezze served from the kitchen. You should rather reserve something in advance because it is super popular. Best – Turkish BBQ is the best for groups. Then it is the most fun to grill together, even if you smell a bit of grill and smoke afterwards and the perfect memory of the summer.

Imren Grill

One of the best known Turkish Grill house chains In Berlin there is probably the imen grill. According to Berkay, a good friend with Turkish roots, in addition to the typical doner kebab and various grilled foods, there are also dishes like at home, such as Etli Kuru Fasulye (Bean stew with lamb). The portions are huge and the dishes are very filling, which is why you should bring enough space in the stomach. At peak times it can be difficult to get a seat. But if you can do it, you should take the time to watch the hustle and bustle. Here, a wide variety of groups from various countries come together to enjoy Turkish home cooking.

Kwa – Kebap With Attitude

Like the name of the “opened in the middle”Nobel snack bar“Reveals, of course, there is kebab. Why he still got a place in our list is the fact that in addition to kebab and wraps (as the Dürüm is called here), there are other freshly prepared dishes. All kebab variations are served as a tray with rice and some vegetables. Mezze.
Anyone who is used to normal snack prices will initially take big eyes at KWA, with a kebab for 8 euros. But if you can believe the operator, the meat is moved into free -range from the region, so that you can enjoy the fast food without a guilty conscience.
