Danone Products Featuring M&M’s, Oreo, and Snickers Are Being Recalled for Potential Plastic Contamination

Danone U.S. has announced a voluntary recall of YoCrunch yogurt products sold nationwide due to the potential presence of plastic pieces in the dome toppers. Small fragments of plastic found in the separately packaged yogurt toppings may pose a choking hazard.

The issue was identified after consumers complained about the presence of plastic pieces inside the cookie, candy, and granola toppers that get mixed into the yogurt containers. These fragments are transparent, may have sharp edges, and range in size from 7 to 25 millimeters, posing a potential safety risk.

The recall was initiated on July 11, 2025, and is being carried out in coordination with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

How To Identify the Recalled YoCrunch Products

The recall affects all flavors and sizes of YoCrunch products currently available in stores, including those sold at Walmart, Dollar General, and Target, along with regional grocery chains. The recalled yogurts include lot #/expiration dates ranging from July 7 to September 4, 2025, in the following flavors:

What To Do if You Have the Recalled YoCrunch

According to Danone U.S.’s press release“the company is working swiftly with retail partners to remove the impacted product from shelves, while it works to address the issue and bring back the YoCrunch products so many people enjoy.”

While the plastic contamination is limited solely to the separately packaged toppers and does not affect the yogurt itself, anyone who has purchased the affected YoCrunch products should not consume them.
